4. Accuracy of Information
You are solely responsible for ensuring all information you enter is accurate and up to date. ScriptPal NZ does not verify user-entered data. Always review your summary with a qualified healthcare professional before using it for clinical purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
ScriptPal NZ is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel (vercel.com); data storage and authentication are provided by Supabase (supabase.com). The optional pharmacy-label scanner sends the label photo you choose to read to Amazon Web Services (aws.amazon.com) for text extraction. Your use of ScriptPal NZ is also subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of these providers.
6. Educational Content
The educational medication content within ScriptPal NZ is rendered in-app for ease of access, providing plain language information under nine categories. Some of the medicines are directly linked out to MyMedicines which provides information for patients about medicines used in New Zealand. This was developed by a team at Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha. Their team are made up of doctors, pharmacists, and a non-medical person.
Some of ScriptPal's plain-language content is drafted with the help of AI and then reviewed before it is shown; no information about you is used for this. The pharmacy-label scanner is a convenience tool that reads the text off a photo of your label and pre-fills the form. It is not a clinical check and it can misread: you are responsible for confirming that every field it fills in is correct before you save, and for the accuracy of everything you save.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
